30 minutes from the airport Ronchi dei Legionari (Trst, Trieste), one hour drive to the airport Brnik (Ljubljana), half an hour to the capital Ljubljana and the same distance to Nova Gorica, the entrance to the Slovene Tuscany, Goriška Brda or to Koper (Capodistria), the Slovene window to the world. In the same time frame you can reach the Croatian coast, e.g. Reka (Rijeka) and you need less to the same sea in the Italian republic to e.g. the beautiful castle Miramara.

On the UNESCO world heritage list inscribed Škocjanske jame (Škocjan Caves), worldly famous Postojnska jama (Postojna cave), in the best sense of the word the phenomenon of the Slovene Karst (Kras) with its beautiful stud farm Lipica (the Lipizzaner breed originates from Lipica from where it has been exported all over the world) are only few of the points to which you can cycle and you would not even sweat. These are not the only places you can go to that offer special moments that remain with you forever. I am not even going to mention numerous sources of culinary and oenological delights which these places are full of. Or the castles of Zemono, Predjama, Snežnik, Socerb, … as they are not what this reading is all about.
